About

Access to justice is a fundamental right that every person deserves, regardless of their socio-economic status, background, or legal knowledge. However, the reality is that many people face barriers and challenges when they need to access the legal system, especially if they are self-represented litigants. The complexity of the court forms, the cost of hiring a lawyer, the lack of online tools and resources, and the delays and inefficiencies of the legal process are some of the factors that can discourage or prevent people from seeking justice.
That is why LegalFlare.CA is dedicated to making justice more accessible and affordable for everyone, has announced a new development of a project that aims to revolutionize the way people interact with the legal system. LegalFlare’s project is based on the vision of its founder, Samuel Rizzotto, who writes:

“I’m so lucky to be donating to LegalFlare; it’s an incredible project I have the highest of hopes and I hope to continue to do more.

Such a great project idea, I can’t wait to see this advance and enter its experimental beta stage in the coming months.”

Ontario Court Forms and Online Case Management should be MADE way more accessible and simplified with Online tools that are free for anyone to use and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

I’m so excited to see this take shape and evolve!”

LegalFlare’s project consists of two main components: a form automation tool and an online case management system. The form automation tool allows users to fill out court forms easily and accurately, by guiding them through a series of simple questions and generating the forms automatically. The online case management system enables users to track and manage their cases online, by providing them with a dashboard, a calendar, a document repository, and a communication platform. Both components are designed to be user-friendly, secure, and compatible with the Ontario court system.
By using LegalFlare’s project, self-represented litigants can benefit from several advantages, such as:

  • Saving time and money by having access to basic tools.
  • Reducing stress and confusion by having the ability to complete forms without confusing errors or compatibility issues.
  • LegalFlare’s project is not only a practical and convenient solution for self-represented litigants, but also a moral and ethical obligation for the legal system. Access to justice is a human right that is enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and other international treaties and conventions. By making justice more accessible and affordable for everyone, LegalFlare’s project is contributing to the promotion and protection of this right, and the advancement of democracy, equality, and social justice.
  • LegalFlare’s project is currently in its development stage and is expected to launch its experimental beta version in the coming months. LegalFlare will set up a project roadmap that diligently delineates and outlines the project and improvements, next steps, and identified errors, bugs, and more.
  • LegalFlare’s project is a game-changer for the legal system and for the people who need it the most. Join us in making justice more accessible and affordable for everyone!
